What is e-prescribing.

E-prescribing is the practice of generating, transmitting, and tracking prescriptions electronically rather than via paper or fax. In telehealth, e-prescribing is the operational link between clinical review and pharmacy fulfillment.

Core requirements

Provider authentication, real-time routing across a pharmacy network, drug-interaction checking, formulary awareness, and audit-logged history. For controlled substances, EPCS adds two-factor authentication and identity proofing.

Where it fits in the platform

E-prescribing should be a property of the operating layer, not a third-party tool the provider switches to. When intake, review, prescribing, and pharmacy live on one ledger, the patient experiences a single workflow — and so does the provider.

vi. Begin

Operator-grade infrastructure.

A platform that runs the operation, not a checklist that describes it.
